Blanch L. Hand, age 84, of Lansing Station Road, Lansing, NY passed away
Friday, April 16, 2010 at Cayuga Ridge, Ithaca. Mrs. Hand was born Jan. 26,
1926 in Jamesville, NY a daughter of the late Raymond and Rose Cooms
Hoaglin. A lifelong Lansing area resident, Blanch was retired from Smith
Corona and had spent many summers managing the camping area at Lansing Town
Park and had also worked in the Lansing School Cafeteria. She was a member
and Past President of the Lansingville Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary. Her
husbands were Irving “Doc” Moore who died in 1974 and Duncan F. Hand who
died in 1992. She enjoyed spending time with her family and camping.

Survivors include her children, Connie (Fred) Clark of Groton, Raymond L.
(Francine) Moore of Mt. Holly, NJ, Jack I. (Leslie) Moore of Dryden and Jill
I. (Donald) Knapp of Ithaca; siblings, Evelyn Jacobs of Ithaca, Shirley
(Richard) Inman of Lansing and Gordon Hoaglin of Lansing; grandchildren,
Kevin (Amy) Clark, Richard (Andrea) Clark, Joshua (Kristy) Moore, Sabrina
(Jillian Atkins)Moore, Rosalind Moore, Tamara (Franklin Grant) Moore,
Matthew (Sara Knapp) Moore, Amanda (Joshua) Brown, Mateo Moore, Aleisha
Moore, Molly Moore, Bianca Moore, Stephanie (Jason) Michalec, Kelly
Anderson, Timothy Anderson; 18 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Blanch was predeceased by a sister, Loretta Sherman and brothers Gerald and
Irwin Hoaglin.
Memorial Information:
At Mrs. Hand's request services will be private and at the convenience of
the family. There are no calling hours. Burial will be private in
Lansingville Cemetery. Perkins Funeral Home assisted the family.
