Daniel P. Bailey, age 58, of 10 Bailey Drive, Freeville, NY passed away Saturday, April 24, 2010 at the Cayuga Medical Center, Ithaca, NY. Dan was born Sept. 2, 1951 in Elmira, NY a son of Daniel P. Bailey, Sr. and Virginia Morey Bailey. Dan was graduated from Dryden High School in 1969 and from TC3 with an Associate’s Degree in Business Management. He was employed at Cornell University, Midas Muffler, Monroe Muffler and Jiffy Lube. Dan was an avid NY Yankee and NY Giants fan. He enjoyed gardening, camping, slow pitch softball and outdoor living. He was a people person who loved to visit with friends and customers. He will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his mother and father, Dan, Sr. and Virginia Bailey of Freeville, his son, William E. Bailey of Cortland and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at the Perkins Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden. Friends are invited to call from 1 to 2 PM Wednesday at the funeral home, 55 West Main St., Dryden.
