			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><img class="alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-580" title="bard" src="http://centralnyobits.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/bard-150x150.jpg" alt="bard" width="150" height="150" />Raymond James Bard, Jr., age 82, of Wood Road, Freeville, NY went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday September 2, 2010 at the Bath Veteran’s Medical Center.  Ray was born June 9, 1928 in Atlantic City, NJ a son of the late Raymond Sr. and Maude Thompson Bard.   Ray served in the U.S. Army during WW II and on August 18, 1984 he married Adrianne Ashford at Etna, NY.  Ray was retired from Borg Warner after 30 years of employment.  He lived most of his life in the Ithaca area and was an avid fisherman.  He was very active in the Peruville New Testament Church and loved his involvement with the AWANA Program and the Golden Key Ministries.</p>
<p>Survivors include his wife, Adrianne F. Bard of Freeville; daughters, Joanne Bard Addison and Pamela Bard both of Illinois, Maria Bard (Jeffery King) of Ithaca, and Lorraine Bard of Syracuse; step-daughters, Holly (Gregory)Carter of N Carolina, Christina Parker of Seneca Falls, Amy (Steve) Petty of Michigan and Doris Ashford of Alabama; grandchildren, Constance, Stacy, Lamine, Katarah, Kasani, Allen, Jasmine and Traymond; step-grandchildren, Raymond Arthur, Zachary, Noah, William, Ann Marie, Stephanie, Katherine, Damian, Ashlee`, Celeste Amber; 11 great grandchildren, 8 step-great grandchildren and nephew, James Herndon of Illinois.  He was predeceased by his sister, Mary and brother, John.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Harold A. Goyette, age 79, of West Dryden Road, Freeville, NY passed away Thursday, Sep. 2, 2010 at the Groton Nursing Facility after a lengthy illness. Harold was born May 20, 1931 in Freeville, NY a son of the late Meddie and Doris Tanner Goyette.  He was employed for many years in the construction industry and was married to Marion Goyette of King Ferry who survives. Harold was a caring and loving father who will be missed by family and friends.</p>
<p>Additional survivors include his sons, Louis (Carol) Goyette of Christmas, Fl, Clifford Hoover of Mclean, NY, Marion (Carol) Hoover of West Winfield, NY, Kenny (Nancy) Hoover of Enfield and John Crispell of Newfield; his daughters, Ileana Sill of Groton, Diane Walker of Freeville, Colleen (Craig) Smith of King Ferry, Merrie Ellen (Jason) Hulbert of Newfield, Susan (Ray) Terry of Interlaken, Anita (Louie) DiGiacomo of Dryden and Kim Crispell of Newfield; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren including Kylie, Kassie and Connor Fish, Taylor Bartholomew; nieces, nephews and cousins.  Harold is also services by a close family friend, Charles Stanton of Lansing and several step-children and step-grandchildren.</p>

Wainwright, age 83, of Willowbrook Manor, Dryden, NY and formerly of Cortland passed away Wednesday Aug. 25, 2010 at the Cortland Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.  Myra was born Oct. 15, 1926 in Cortland, a daughter of the late Fritz and Florence McGillivray Keeler.  As a youth her family lived in Harford. She was graduated from Marathon Central High School and attended Morrisville State College where she studied nutrition.  While working as a chef for a family in Cortland, she met Earl V. Wainwright, Sr. and they were married Sept. 19, 1947. Myra was employed in the Cortland School cafeterias until retirement in 1983. Myra was a member of the Dryden Senior Citizens and had been a resident of Willowbrook Manor since 2007.</p>
<p>Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Lawrence Carpenter of Dryden and her son and daughter-in-law, Earl V., Jr. and Jodi of Cortland; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Mark and Giselle Wainwright and John and Benjamin Carpenter; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Grace Eversdyke of Dryden; a sister-in-law, Elsie Diaz and a brother-in-law, Michael Sacco; nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her husband, Earl V. Wainwright, Sr. and a daughter-in-law, Jane Wainwright.</p>

She was born in Salt Lake City, daughter of the late Frank and Clara Bauer LeClere and was the widow of Rae Rowan who died in 1959. Barbara was retired from the Graphic Arts Department at Cornell University where she had worked for many years and had previously worked with her husband at the Wellsville Reporter. She had traveled to all corners of the world with her dear friend, Barbara Hall, helping to tape episodes of WHCU&#8217;s &#8220;Travel Talk.&#8221; In addition to Barbara Hall of Ithaca, Barbara is also survived by her cousin, Dr. Cliff Bauer of Jamestown.</p>

Born Nov. 3, 1919 in Pine City, NY, Alice was a daughter of the late Raymond and Eva Smith Canfield.  A lifelong area resident, Alice was a long time resident of Midline Road and formerly had lived in Newfield and Varna. Her husband, William Henry Sears, died Feb. 25, 1999.  She had been employed for 26 years at Cornell University and retired in 1998. Alice was a wonderful mother and grandmother who will be missed by her family, neighbors and friends. </p>
<p>Survivors include her children, Raymond W. Sears of Dryden and Mary Kenyon of Brooktondale; a step-brother, Clyde Snowberger of Groton; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and four great great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Donald Sears, her son-in-law, Glenn Kenyon, her daughter-in-law, Ellen Christofferson Sears and a brother, Lester Canfield.</p>

Born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, he was a son of the late Donald R. and Janet J. Wilkins McLaughlin and grandson of the late John J. McLaughlin, founder of Canada Dry. Don attended St. Andrews College in Ontario, Canada and was a graduate of Cornell University, Class of 1953. He was a realtor in the Ithaca area for many years and later worked at the Ithaca YMCA. He loved to golf and was an avid reader, often reading a book a day. Don is survived by his wife, Sharon Prezioso McLaughlin; children, Chris McLaughlin, Margo Klose and Mimi Fersen; step-sons, Michael and Andrew Consalvi; and nine grandchildren.</p>

<p>She was born in Tampa, FL and had been employed with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Dept. and did Tri-County transports of prisoners.  She also worked with various other Counties around the Finger Lakes region.  She loved to draw, color and paint and she was an avid outdoor person who loved to fish, hunt and hike trails.  She was an avid sports fan of all sports especially  football, basketball and NASCAR.</p>
<p>Paula is survived by her partner, Amy M. Daudelin of Dryden, and many friends.  She is also survived by Amy’s family, mother, Esther Daudelin, sister, Linda and Steve Mahoney, brothers,  Paul and Sheila Daudelin and Daniel Daudelin.</p>

<p>Mrs. Wheelock is survived by her daughter, Sheryl W. Searles of Cortland, NY; sons, Glenn R. (Gail) Wheelock of Cortland, NY and Nelson K. (Donna) Wheelock of Preble, NY; 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  In addition, she was predeceased by a brother, Gilbert Craig and sister, Leona Franklin.</p>

He attended Dryden High School and on May 17, 1969 was married to the former Denise Rose Reagin.  He was employed at Borg Warner for 40 ½ years as a machine operator. Known as “Ron”, he enjoyed spending time with his family, mowing the lawn, watching his grandchildren race 4 wheelers and living life to its fullest.</p>
<p>Survivors include his loving wife of 41 years, “Denny” Walker of Dryden, his children, Kathleen (Michael) Deeb of Ithaca, Sharon (Douglas) Graham of Richford, Roland (Nikki) Walker, II of Freeville; grandson, Jack Graham and granddaughter, Kimberly Graham; his twin brother, Russell (Jill) Walker of Dryden, brothers Robert (Joyce) Walker of Virgil and Clinton (Shelly) Walker of Dryden; his sisters, Helen Kay Harvey of Telford, PA, Jacqueline (Frank) LaMondie of Cortland; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, George Walker in 1991.</p>
