Patsy (Pasquale) Elmo, 93½ of 111 Pennsylvania Avenue, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2010 at home.
Born May 28, 1916 in Lyons, NY, son of the late John and Rose D’Ercole Elmo. Patsy was a Veteran of WWII where he served as a staff sergeant and a lifetime member of the VFW Post 961. He retired from the Local Carpenters Union in 1978.
Survivors include son, Michael (Ann Thayer) Elmo and daughter, Yolanda Elmo and good friend, Gerald Tucker,; grandchildren, Tricia Gee (Matt Benedict), Angela (Stephen) Hoffman, Joseph Elmo and great grandchildren, Cory Olivares, Ryan Benedict and Skyler, Madilena, Gavin and Adley Hoffman; also survived by his brother, Louie Elmo and sisters, Mary Brown and Molly Elmo. In addition to his parents, he was pre-deceased by his wife, Alice “Bessie” Elmo (1972) and brothers, Lee and John “Junior” Elmo.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Bangs Funeral Home with Rev. Leo Reinhardt officiating. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday, March 9, 2010 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Bangs Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospicare, 172 East King Road, Ithaca, NY 14850.
