Ross J. Crannell, age 78, of Freeville, NY passed away Monday, April 5, 2010 at the Hospicare Residence. Ross was born December 21, 1931 in Cortland, NY a son of the late Berlin R. and Margaret Waterman Crannell. Ross was a self employed salesman and later worked as a handyman at various locations. He served in the US Army, 101st Airborne Division, from 1954 to 1957.
Survivors include his daughter, Robin Sue Crannell of Freeville; sons, Roger (Kristine Janis) Crannell of Freeville and Todd (Barbara) Crannell of Connecticut; eight grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his former wife, Leslie F. Crannell in 2008.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, April 9, 2010 at the Perkins Funeral Home, 55 West Main St., Dryden with Rev. David C. Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at Cortland Rural Cemetery. Friends may call from 1-2 pm prior to the service. www.perkinsfuneralhome.com
